Indiana County Fair

Elizabeth Voight 2018 Pennsylvania State Fair Queen


August 29th marked a visit to the Indiana County Fair, where I enjoyed being a part of many activities!  Once I arrived I was greeted by the newly crowned 2018 Indian County Fair Queen Ms. Ashton Stiles!  I was then excited to take part in the yearly luncheon with many legislators and directors of the fair.  At the luncheon I was reunited with many Pennsylvania State Association of Fairs officers and many others!  I enjoyed a delicious meal and had the opportunity to introduce myself at the luncheon.  After the luncheon I was given a tour of the fair by Ms. Ashton Stiles!  I then attended the Indiana County Fair Livestock Auction where I had the opportunity to be in the pictures with the Champion and Reserve Champion Hogs.  Indiana County Fair, many thanks for an eventful visit!

Manheim Community Farm Show

Elizabeth Voight 2018 Pennsylvania State Fair Queen On October 8, I visited the Manheim Community Farm Show...the LAST fair.  What a nice way to wrap up my fair travels!  Upon arrival I was given a tour of the fairs grounds.  Pumpkins, corn shucks, and lights lined the walk ways showcasing some products from the harvest season.  2017 Manheim Community Farm Show Queen, Emily Witmer, greeted me and we enjoyed catching up!  I had the pleasure of getting to know her well at the state convention in January.  I then, took part in their royalty ceremony and spoke about my role as the Pennsylvania State Fair Queen.  I was honored to participate in their ceremony as they crowned their new queen.  What I admired most about this fair was the strong sense of community!  Special thanks to the Manheim Community Farm Show for your warm hospitality and a wonderful evening!

103rd Pennsylvania Farm Show

Elizabeth Voight 2018 Pennsylvania State Fair Queen On January 5-12, I took part in the 103rd Pennsylvania Farm Show!  It is the nation's largest indoor agricultural exposition under one roof, with near 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 300 commercial exhibits, and attended by over 400,000 people.  I had the opportunity to participate in many events including the PA Preferred VIP Reception, a photo opportunity with other commodity representatives and Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding, the Opening Ceremonies, the Livestock Sale of Champions and the Celebrity Draft Horse Team Driving Contest!  Also, I enjoyed exhibiting my Angus cattle.  Many thanks to all the Farm Show staff, volunteers, exhibitors, and consumers who made this event such a success!
