Huntingdon County Fair


Elizabeth Voight 2018 Pennsylvania State Fair Queen


On August 9th, I was honored to attend the Huntingdon County Fair!  Having shown Angus cattle on these grounds since I was 8 with the Pennsylvania Junior Angus Association, I was amazed to see this venue set-up for the fair.  Once I arrived at the fair, I was greeted by the newly crowned 2018 Huntingdon County Fair Queen.  My mom and I enjoyed a lovely tour with her and her mom!  I then, spoke at the Round Robin Showmanship Finals.  Will Nichols a family friend and Huntingdon native gave us a wonderful tour of the famous Huntingdon Fair Farm Museum!  Thank you Huntingdon Fair for a most pleasant day!

Manheim Community Farm Show

Elizabeth Voight 2018 Pennsylvania State Fair Queen On October 8, I visited the Manheim Community Farm Show...the LAST fair.  What a nice way to wrap up my fair travels!  Upon arrival I was given a tour of the fairs grounds.  Pumpkins, corn shucks, and lights lined the walk ways showcasing some products from the harvest season.  2017 Manheim Community Farm Show Queen, Emily Witmer, greeted me and we enjoyed catching up!  I had the pleasure of getting to know her well at the state convention in January.  I then, took part in their royalty ceremony and spoke about my role as the Pennsylvania State Fair Queen.  I was honored to participate in their ceremony as they crowned their new queen.  What I admired most about this fair was the strong sense of community!  Special thanks to the Manheim Community Farm Show for your warm hospitality and a wonderful evening!

Ephrata Fair

Elizabeth Voight 2018 Pennsylvania State Fair Queen Following a visit to the Bloomsburg fair, it was off to the Ephrata Fair!  I was so honored to be a small part of the 100 year celebration for the Ephrata Fair!  What a tribute to the many volunteers who have joined together to make this fair a success for so many years.  Unfortunately, like many fairs, throughout the state the weather was not ideal and it rained, causing some of the events to be cancelled or moved indoors.  But that did not stop the opening ceremonies for the 100 year to occur!  Many special visitors payed a visit to take part in this ceremony.  I was proud to join in the celebration and speak a little bit about my role as the Pennsylvania State Fair Queen.  Congratulations to the Ephrata Fair for reaching 100 years!  It was just a pleasure to attend the Ephrata Fair!
